I am delighted to be showing at PARALLEL Vienna again this September, together with Daniel Sommergruber as a CoopStatement, now in our third year.
I am bringing new drawings from this year, among them Mitosika and Inner Motion. Both start from microscopy.
Mitosika is named after mitosis, cell division. It runs straight through the cell mass: two sheets, two frames.
Inner Motion is in three parts and takes the view through the microscope at low magnification, looking down onto the slide. In that image I draw my inner processes, out of intuition.

Our shared subject is space, outer and inner. Sommergruber works figuratively, with figures and perspective in the outer. I go inward: a zooming in as far as the microcosm, into the spaces between order and chaos.
