Screen Prints
Works from the artist residency at the Screen Printing Workshop Viadukt Vienna (2025/26)
Each in an edition of seven
With these editions Denise Schellmann transforms her drawing process into an iterative screen-printing method. Through microscopic observation, she gives greater visibility to the smallest building blocks of life in each printing step.
The spontaneous idea of the artwork is analytically deconstructed in a multi-stage process: first broken down into its fundamental components, then reassembled layer by layer, respectively form by form, into a whole, into the work itself.
Each impression is overdrawn by hand. Within an edition no sheet resembles another, every impression is unique.
Screenprints are available in the Viadukt online-shop.
