Crystal Vibrations (2025)
Series of Colored Pigment Prints I – IX, Individually Enhanced with Graphite and Colored Pencil
In Collaboration with Accenture / Artstripe Vienna
For Denise Schellmann, everything is drawing.
In the Crystal Vibrations series, she explores ways to synthesize science, technology, and art. She engages with the central contradiction between scientific progress and artistic freedom. Her work seeks to dissolve tension and complexity into a dynamic harmony of shape and color.
This transmedia process—combining microscopy, photography, digital image processing, printing, and traditional graphite and colored pencil drawing—renders the invisible visible. Tiny, highly magnified quartz crystals spontaneously expand into an entire universe.
Quartz is a fundamental raw material in technological development. In this work, Schellmann artistically interprets what Accenture stands for today: the synergy of technology and human creativity.
